New Images Concrete Construction
Lakeside, CA 92040

Decorative concrete was used to transform this backyard. Perched on a hill, this yard features a swimming pool with a disappearing edge as well as a custom built fire pit. Three different looks were incorporated into the overall design to create a unified effect. Donnie, from New Images, explains that these three looks are what he calls the ABCs of decorative concrete.

The first look, or A look, incorporates outlines around the perimeter of the pool and deck. This outline was stamped with a granite texture. The second look, or B look, incorporates heavy sand blasting which creates a worn texture. Look B is seen in the bands that intersect the pool deck. The third look, or look C, incorporates basic concrete with light sand blasting. The vast majority of the concrete on this project is look C. These three looks were incorporated across the pool deck, around the fire pit and up the stairs.

Matrix Concrete Artisans
Oceanside, CA 92057

These tranquil waterfalls were created for a designer. The project was started with a few precast rocks to begin the water features and then 80% of the rocks were hand sculpted out of concrete to replicate that style of stone. Natural stacked stone designs were used to create the cascading waterways for a relaxing sound.
